Hey everyone! It’s Reanie and I’m back again with another blog. As promised in my most recent post, this week I have some exciting new content to share with all of you.
Today, I’m going to be sharing the lyrics of a faith based song that I wrote.
I hope everyone enjoys! :)
A Change Of Faith
-By Reanie
(Intro)
I almost lost myself to lust again.
The devil himself in the form of a man.
He tried to change my faith, He tried to change my plans.
I just wanted him to be a better man.
(Verse)
Knocked right down onto my knees.
My faith was weak, and I did not believe.
Lost in the dark, no I couldn’t see.
But my Jesus had a plan for me.
(Chorus)
He said,
Follow my light, listen to my words.
Follow your heart, and don’t be concerned.
I made you perfect, all your edges and curves.
Just know that he loves you even at your worst. (Your worst, your worst.)
(Verse)
Change your mind, and change your life.
Change your heart, and do what’s right.
Never lose faith, oh never lose sight.
Remain in hope and you’ll be alright.
(Verse)
I promise he has a plan for you.
Things take time, all good things do.
He’ll never turn his back on you,
Just follow his light and do what’s true.
(Bridge)
And he said,
Follow my light, listen to my words.
Follow your heart, and don’t be concerned.
You were made perfect, all your edges and curves.
Just know that God loves you, even at your worst (Ohhhh)
(Outro)
So follow his light, listen to his word.
Follow your heart, and don’t be concerned.
He made us perfect, all our edges and curves.
But none of the matters anymore,
No none of that matters anymore,
when we leave this earth.
(This earth, this earth.)
Dedicated To The Lovely Joanna
I wouldn’t consider “A Change Of Faith” an ideal Christian song. I would say that this is my short interpretation of how I came to know the Lord and the role he plays in not only my life, but also in the lives of many. This song serves as a constant reminder of how much God really does love all of us. No matter what we look like, what mistakes we have made in the past and even those we might make in the future, we will always be unconditionally loved by the Lord.
Thank you to everyone who stuck around and read up until this point. I’m going to begin posting more regularly again! Recently, I’ve been spending most of my free time working on my new songs, and songwriting can be extremely time consuming! The good news is that I’m going to be sharing the lyrics of these songs with all of you, so make sure to check-in weekly! Well, I’m gonna leave it at that.
Once again, I’m out!
-Reanie
